The StreetNode all-outdoor, 60 GHz (V-Band), all-in-one radio platform is a software defined terminal that can be deployed as either a Point-to-Point Link, Point-to-Multipoint Hub or a Point-to-Multipoint Subscriber. The StreetNode achieves over 1.3 Gbit/s full duplex air rates on a 250 MHz radio channel. User capacity can reach up to 1.6 Gbps full-duplex depending on the frame size.
Leveraging an integrated auto-adjusting antenna system, the StreetNode can auto-align its self-resulting in fewer errors and a much simpler installation.
Antenna Auto-Alignment Feature Explained:
The StreetNode features an embedded high-performance antenna which is adjustable. The automatic antenna adjustment ranges are ±15 / 30 (for azimuth) and ±10 / 20 (for elevation). The antenna fine alignment is based on received signal measurements.
There are two modes for antenna auto-alignment:
Manual – automatic alignment commences upon command from the operator only.
Auto – automatic alignment commences if configurable SINR / time thresholds are crossed (can commence also upon system reboot, power up or link loss).
The entire azimuth and elevation movement ranges, supported by the antenna mechanism, are scanned to find the optimal position for aligning with the antenna of the unit at the other side of the link. A fine-tune operation is also available to perform small antenna movements toward the optimization of the link performance. Average installation time ranges from 10-15 minutes depending on experience.
