Part 101 Point-to-Point Microwave Frequency Licensing

Point-to-Point Terrestrial Microwave Frequency Clearance Studies

FCC rules governing terrestrial microwave point-to-point licensing for common carrier and private network applications can be found in CFR Title 47, Part 101.  CTI's microwave interference studies and analysis take into account the Part 101 Rules, antenna characteristics, terrain loss, radio characteristics, etc in order to find a clear frequency pair for our customer.

Part 101 Prior Coordination Services

As mandated by FCC Part 101 Rules and Regulations, once a frequency study has been completed, other users within range of the proposed systems must be notified through the Prior Coordination Notice (PCN) process.

Point-to-Point Microwave Application Services - FCC Form 601

After obtaining clearance from users that are within range from the path, CTI will fill out and file the license application (Form 601) directly with the FCC and guarantee acceptance and grant of license.

Schedule K - FCC Construction Notification

The FCC requires that wireless telecommunications services licensees of Part 101 construct their authorized system within a 6 month period from the initial application filing date.  If a licensee fails to construct a frequency, fails to construct a location, fails to construct an entire license, the license terminates automatically as of the applicable construction deadline.  When a licensee does not file the Required Notification or Request for Extension of Time, ULS will presume that the license, location, or frequency has not been constructed and place the license, location or frequency in "termination pending" status for 30 days.  If, by the end of that 30-day period the licensee does not file a petition to rebut the presumption, then ULS will change the status of the license, location, or frequency to "Terminated," effective the date of the construction or coverage deadline.
